Welcome to Meigle and Ardler Community Development Trust (MACDT). We are a small charity run by local volunteers in the rural Vale of Strathmore. Our ambition is for the communities of Meigle and Ardler to thrive and flourish through community-led projects and support networks.
Together, we aim to create a vibrant and sustainable future for everyone who lives and works in Meigle and Ardler.
Our exciting projects include:

What is a Community Development Trust?
A development trust is a community-owned and led organisation, delivering community-led projects to tackle local needs and issues.
Development trusts differ from community councils - development trusts deliver projects on behalf of the local community, whereas community councils represent the local community.
