Meet the team...
Bob Ellis
Chairperson
Project lead for Ardler Village Hall Site
Bob was a former Perth & Kinross Councillor serving for 22 years and was responsible for Blairgowrie & The Glens.
Bob's interests have always been in the outdoors and was the cofounder of the Cateran Trail and the Cateran Ecomuseum.
Bob and his wife moved from Blairgowrie where they had lived for 40 years before moving to Ardler in 2019.
He was instrumental in re-establishing Meigle & Ardler Community Council and was Chair for two years before working with others in the community in setting up Meigle and Ardler Community Development Trust.
At the age of 75, Bob still enjoys walking and cycling in the surrounding area, and is also a member of Blairgowrie & District Rotary.

Kate Methley
Treasurer
Kate is originally from near Glasgow, but has lived in the Meigle area since 2020, joining MACDT as a trustee in 2022.
She's a Chartered Accountant by profession, but has a long-term interest in history and is in the process of completing a part-time History degree with the University of the Highlands and Islands.
Kate keeps an eye on all the projects from a financial perspective, but is more creatively involved with the MACTrail, along which she enjoys walking her very energetic dog.
Tristan Woods
Secretary
Tristan has lived in Meigle since 2012 and very much enjoys the local community atmosphere and the beauty of the surrounding areas. By day, Tristan is Chief Product Officer of Safeguard Global, a leading workforce enablement business and he's passionate about all things Payroll and technology - which he claims is a lot more interesting than it may sound! As a father to two young boys he is kept very busy and enjoys perfecting his negotiating skills. Tristan also enjoys a good quiz, but sadly often loses out to Ali.
